Neither the poster nor the press release mentions specific "local" beer and bourbon, but the "local" chain newspaper comes to the rescue with this:

Beer will be available from Donum Dei Brewery and the New Albany Brewhouse, Jim Beam bourbon and wine from French Lick Winery.

Um, that's New Albanian Brewing Company, but otherwise, it's good to know all the facts. Following is the press release.

I have resolved to forego big-dollar PAC money and unregulated "soft" slush funds from afar -- and it's a good thing I did, because no one's offered any of it to me, anyway. Local restaurants join to fight addiction by raising money for The Healing Place.

Thus far, the only Southern Indiana restaurant on this list is Bread and Breakfast (157 E. Main Street in New Albany). Thanks, Laura.

My friend David "Bistro New Albany" Clancy's life quite possibly was saved by this program, and when he contacted me earlier this year, I recommended NABC's participation in the event. Perhaps the memo got lost in the tall grass.

Sorry if it offends anyone, but bluntness is merited here: Substance abuse is an occupational hazard of the restaurant industry, period. If you've been part of this business, you know exactly what I mean. Please do what you can to support THP, either by dining out on the 22nd, donating directly, or just helping get the word out.

Rampant substance abuse in the restaurant industry has sparked the upcoming “86 Addiction” event, whereby dozens of local eateries will donate 10 percent of their proceeds Wednesday to help The Healing Place.

I know they teach English in high school. Perhaps you should attend class.

The 4th Annual Raq'n Around the Christmas Tree Holiday Toy Drive and Taste of New Albany is this Thursday, December 6.

It's a belly-dancing-themed toy drive with food and drink, returning this year to New Albany's Holiday Inn after being held last year at the Grand.

Richard Atnip will be on hand with NABC beer samples, while I work the Ben Sollee performance at the Carnegie Center.

Since the latter is a low-key exclusive museum event that's been sold out for quite some time, I need say no more about it, except I'm looking very much forward to it, and if you're there, say hello.

NABC on the Road: Victorian Vineyard (Jeffersonville IN; 10/5/12).

It's a samples-only event, which I worked solo in 2011 and probably will do again this year. In 2012, the fundraiser moves down the street to the ACL's terrace.

The Howard Steamboat Museum is proud to present, “A VICTORIAN VINEYARD”, the 20th year celebration of the annual wine tasting, cocktail buffet and auction. This event is a major fundraiser to benefit the daily operating expenses of the museum, which receives no regular funding from any government agencies.

The festive event will be held on Friday, October 5th from 6:30 until 9:30 at the American Commercial Lines building, overlooking the Ohio River, at 1701 East Market Street in Jeffersonville. Musical entertainment (weather permitting) will be out on the terrace with John Gage.

NABC at Rock the Rocks on Saturday, August 20.

Last night was Rock the Rocks, the annual fundraiser held at the Falls of the Ohio State Park in Clarksville. A tourism official once told me that to a slightly lesser extent than the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, the Falls of the Ohio is quite the popular stop on the itineraries of foreign visitors. As you can see, our friendly licensed helpers Jim and Debbie were on hand (thanks, guys), alongside Richard and myself. We raced through sixth barrels of Tafel and Community Dark, and assuredly, we'll bring more beer next year.

August 9 is the 1st Annual Louisville Craft Beer Week Golf Scramble fundraiser.

Louisville Vanguard Cinema event & NABC beer TONIGHT!

The backers of Louisville Vanguard Cinema are holding a fundraiser tonight, and NABC beer will be available.

It's the first event for the embryonic "local dine-in, drink-in, dual-screen independent cinema," which at the moment is a concept waiting for backing. It's also NABC's first official Kentucky appearance since being approved for distribution in the Commonwealth through the River City wholesaling house.
