Shariat receives city loan for Slugger Field restaurant
Louisville restaurateur Anoosh Shariat and a business partner have received a $100,000 loan from the Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corp. to open a restaurant and brew pub at Louisville Slugger Field.
The simple pleasures of beering locally. I'm older now, and simple beer pleasures are the most meaningful to me. They tend to be encountered locally. It is my aim to get unplugged and explore some of them, slowly and thoughtfully. I'd tell you where it's leading, except that I've no idea ... and that's the whole point of the journey: To find out.

Browning's restaurant back?
Good news from Louisville. To help clarify, the space in question is the once/future Browning's Brewery, which has continued producing beer since the attached restaurants closed in October, 2008, and the locally renowned Shariat formerly ran the kitchen there.
Any idea why the restaurants closed to begin with?
ReplyDeleteThis is great news
ReplyDeleteFrom Anoosh's partner as posted on Louisville Hotbytes: Dear Everyone,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your input for Anoosh to reopen Brownings. The bats have been very helpful, and made it worth while to be there-- so, Yes, it is official. Brian is still brewing great beer, and we hope more people will get to enjoy She Devil in many places.
We will start w/ a limited menu at first. Park Place will be used for private dining, parties, & special events for the time being.
Anoosh believes that with the support he has received from friends, foodies, beerheads, & the city, that Brownings will be a great place for people to visit often.
We are shooting to open April 27, and if we can pull it together, be open on a limited basis for thunder.
You can book your derby parties w/ us as well. Looking forward to seeing everyone downtown.Thank you again
I can't wait to have my first Browning's Burger!
