NABC in the local newspaper.

New Albany Tribune reporter Daniel Suddeath did a nice job with this article in yesterday's newspaper.

NABC to open downtown New Albany Brewhouse by fall

I think John's comments about cans may have been in jest, because it makes more sense to me to have bombers, but in fact we really haven't decided yet about small-scale bottling and canning options. The big thing's the draft.

I'll try to have a more detailed update within the next few days. At the moment, it's mostly about bucks and where to find them.

  1. As a retailer, I have one thing to say on the matter:

    Go for the cans!

If you are going to be revolutionary, put your beer in something that is going to stick out on the shelf and get noticed instead of blending in with every other 22 oz. Plus you would become the area's defacto beer for outdoor enthusiasts that go camping, hiking, golfing, etc.

  3. The cans have been a huge success for the 21st Amendment in San Francisco. I'm with The Original BBC Brewmaster:

  4. Look what can's have done for Oskar Blues:

Go to the site and watch: Canned Beer Apocalypse

Their packaging is great and Tony's work would be a stand-out on any shelf.

  5. I'm sure you're already looked into canning vs bottles - As you might know, Dave at Warbird tried the can thing and didn't have any luck in Indiana - though I'd say your beers might aim to serve different craft beer drinkers.

He's probably a good guy to talk to about it, anyway.

  6. Warbird also had very limited distribution in the state at that time too... they were not sold down here at all until last year, and that was after they switched to bottles.
